Paid Work Experiences

Do I need experience working with individuals with disabilities?

Prior experience is not required. Elite2Serve Community Transitional Services provides guidance, support, and ongoing communication to help employers create successful opportunities for participants. We work closely with partners to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

How much time is required?

The time commitment varies based on the opportunity offered. Some employers participate through a one-time workplace tour or informational interview, while others offer job shadowing experiences, internships, paid work experiences, or employment opportunities. We work with each employer to identify a level of involvement that fits their schedule and business needs.

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate in most partnership opportunities. Employer partnerships are designed to create meaningful learning and employment experiences while supporting workforce development within the community.

What support does Elite2Serve provide?

Elite2Serve provides coordination, communication, participant preparation, and ongoing support throughout the partnership process. Depending on the opportunity, we may assist with participant matching, workplace readiness preparation, job coaching, problem-solving, and follow-up support to help ensure successful outcomes.

Can we offer more than one type of opportunity?

Absolutely. Employers may choose to participate in multiple ways, including workplace tours, informational interviews, job shadowing, internships, paid work experiences, community presentations, and employment opportunities. We welcome flexible partnerships that align with your organization's goals and capacity.
